Haft-Tappeh

Haft-Tappeh هفتتپه|seven hills is an archeological site located in the south-west of the Iran, in the area of the Khuzistan. One finds the ruins of the antique there quoted élamite of Kabnak , which was an important political center in XVè front century J. - C.

Kabnak existed already before this period, but it was increased at this time by the sovereign élamite Tepti-ahar who perhaps made his capital of it. What is sure, it is that it was made there bury with its death. It was succeeded by Inshushinak-zunkir-nappipir, which was undoubtedly not his/her son. These two kings are known by found administrative documents with Haft-Tepe. There is evil to identify the territory on which the capacity extends from these kings: the area of Kabnak, Susiane, or all Élam? The texts seem to indicate a political state of fragmentation in the country élamite (with in particular another kingdom around Huhnur).

The explored archaeological vestiges with Kabnak consist of a monumental unit constituting a palate and a temple. The principal divinity of the place appears to be Kirwashir, god who is not attested elsewhere nor for other periods. The large one of the exhumed buildings with Kabnak is the funerary complex of the family of Tepti-ahar. Archeology testifies to important influences Mésopotamie and Hourrites.
