Hadramaout
The Hadramaout is a coastal region of the east of the Yemen.
Located at the south of the Arabic Peninsula, it opens on the Golfe of Aden. It is frontier area of Dhofar (Oman).
The Sultanat S of Hadramaout belonged to the Protectorat of Aden, then Protectorat of Arabia of the South until their dissolution in the new Popular republic of the Yemen of the south in 1967. The latter is integrated in the unit Republic of Yemen in 1990.
