HabCat

The Catalog of livable stellar systems (HabCat or Livable Catalog off Nearby Systems in English) is a stellar catalog of system likely to accommodate livable planets. The list was developed by Jill Tarter and Margaret Turnbull under the auspices of the Projet Phoenix of the Programme SETI.

The list is based on the Catalog Hipparcos (which contains: 118218 stars) by taking account of a great number of properties of the systems. The list currently contains: 17129 " HabStars" ( livable stars ).
