Haakon of Norway
The crown prince Haakon to Norway is the son of the king Harald and the queen Sonja. He was born the July 20th 1973. Prince Haakon has a sister, the princess Märtha-Louise, born in 1971.
Biography
Following the death of the king Olav and with the accession with the throne of king Harald, prince Haakon becomes in 1991 the crown prince to Norway. The Salic law in the order of succession with the throne was repealed starting from its own descent. For this reason the Marthe-Louise princess, two years its elder, is not the princess heiress.
The August 25th 2001, the crown prince Haakon marries with Oslo, Puts-Marit Tjessem Hoiby, a Norwegian commoner mother of a Marius little boy and having known problems of drug in its youth. The princely couple has two children: the princess Ingrid Alexandra (born the January 21st 2004) and prince Sverre Magnus (born the December 3rd 2005), respectively second and third in the order of succession with the throne.
