HK 416

Rifle HK 416 is a project of the firm Heckler & Koch having for goal to produce a version improved of the worthy rifle M4a1. In the beginning was to be named HKM4, but it was changed because of an appeal to justice of the firm COLT, which believed holder of the commercial law of M4, but those belonged to Bushmaster. It is supposed that the name HK 416 is the use of the denomination of M4 and M16. The system of piston with gas loan HK 416 is similar to that already equipping rifles HK G36 and substitute with system to direct gas loan used by M4 and M16. The Norwegian army announced ordering of HK416, the first rifles will be delivered to the second half-year. The weapon was already tested by the American armed forces like certain units of police force. It is only available for the military government agencies and organizations. It can be bought as a weapon supplements or as a kit including/understanding the higher case of cylinder head for the conversion of a weapon based on the model Colt M4/M16. It is not until now step intended for the sale at the civilians.

Evolution

The HK 417 is a model based on the HK 416 but designed to use a ammunition of gauge 7,62 X 51 mm NATO.

Legal information

Several units of imported higher cases of cylinder head finished in the hands of civilians. Even if the sale with the civilians of higher cases of cylinder head does not violate any federal law, it is against the policy of HK. The use of higher cases of cylinder head with an aim of assembling a complete weapon must only follow the laws of regulations concerning the parts manufactured abroad.
