The Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi is a club of Football Finnish based with Helsinki.
Generally regarded as the largest club of Finland, the HJK Helsinki is also the Finnish club which the most gained the Championnat of Finland of football, 21 times. It also gained 8 times the Coupe of Finland of football and 3 times the Championnat of Finland of football D2. Several Finnish international players played for the HJK like Jari Litmanen, Mikael Forssell, etc
The HJK is the only Finnish club to have taken part in the UEFA Cup. In 1998-99, they triumphed vis-a-vis FC Metz in the eliminating heats over the UEFA Cup thus it were qualified. The club also gained 5 points in its group by beating in residence the Benfica Lisbon and one makes 2 tie vis-a-vis 1.FC Kaiserslautern and with Benfica Lisbon.
