HC Spartak Moscow
HC Spartak Moscow (in Russian Ru '' СпартакМосква '') is a club of Hockey of Russia. The club is a branch of the sporting teams of Spartak of which also formed part FK Spartak Moscow.
History
The team makes her beginnings in the championship of the USSR in 1946. She gains with four recoveries the Soviet championship into 1962,1967,1969 and 1976 like five Coupes Spengler into 1980,1981,1985,1989 and 1990.At the time of the season 2005-06, the team finishes in the tenth place of the Superliga but finances of the team not following, the club is at the edge of the bankruptcy. The team believes being saved when a purchaser, Vadim Melkov, decides to invest money in order to take again the club. The negotiations are quite committed but Melkov dies at the time of the accident of the Vol 778 Siberia Airlines. After one month of debate to save the team, it is decided to suspend the team for one year in order to find a solution. In 2007-2008, Spartak forms part of Superliga again.
