HC Kometa Brno is a club of Hockey of the town of Brno in Czech Republic. The team evolves/moves in the the second division, the 1. liga . The club was eleven times champion of Czechoslovakia and three times champion of Europe.
History
The club is created in 1953 under the name of
Rudá hvězda Brno and plays its first match against the
Motorlet Praha (victory 4
goals to 2). The first title of
champion of
Czechoslovakia is acquired in 1955 and is followed from ten others during the eleven following seasons, the team missing only the title by 1959 with the profit of the Sokol Kladno.
Brno also played and gained the first three editions of the Coupe of Europe of the clubs champions, in 1966, 1967 and 1968.
In 1980, the team is relegated in the second Czechoslovakian division, finds the elite the following year but is again relegated in 1988. Two rises and two descents in four seasons follow. The team integrates once again the the first division in 1995 but before joining the 1. liga remains only one season there.

Trainers
The current trainer is Rostislav Čada. In station since December 2006, it is assisted in its task of LIBOR Zábranský and for the goalkeepers, Vladimír Nadrchal.
The first trainer of the team was Václav Řezáč and the trainers taking along the team to the various titles: Slavomír Bartoň, Vladimír Bouzek and Eduard Farda. Bouzek will have led the team under 1956,1957 then those between 1961 and 1966.
