HC Dukla Trenčín

HC Dukla Trenčín is the team of Hockey of Trenčín in Slovakia. The team evolves/moves in the Extraliga, higher division and gained the championship with four recoveries, of which the last time in 2004.

History

The club is founded in 1962 and takes part initially in the championship of Czechoslovakia of the second division. In 1977, Trenčín reaches the first division. Relegated in 1982, Dukla goes up in the elite as of the following season.

After two failures finally of the championship in 1989 and 1990, Trenčín gains in 1992 the championship of Czechoslovakia.

Following the partition of Czechoslovakia in 1993, the team leaves Czechoslovakian Extraliga to join the Slovak Extraliga.
