The skating rink and fans

The HC Bienne plays its matches in residence with the Stade of Ice, a skating rink built in 1973 under the impulse of Willy Gassmann, the president of the time.

November 22nd, 1975, 9 ' 411 spectators (record of affluance) have to attend the cantonal derby between the HC Bienne and the CP Bern.

Today, the Stage of Ice aged and a new skating rink should see the day in 2011 in order to offer a new enclosure to the players and to supporteurs biennois. For safety reasons, the maximum capacity of the stage from now on has been limited to 7 ' 000 places, a figure reaches on April 14th, 2006 vis-a-vis Freiburg-Gottéron for the first meeting with closed counters for more than 11 years.

During the regular season and since its relegation in LNB in 1995, the HC Bienne reaches an average of approximately 2 ' 500 spectators per match.
