HATNet project

The project HATNet ( Hungarian Automated Telescopes Network ) is a network of six small telescopes of 11 cm to large field entirely automated " HAT". The scientific objective of the project is to detect and characterize Exoplanète S, and also to find and follow variable stars brilliant. The network is maintained by the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.

Acronym HAT means Hungarian-made Automated Telescope , because it was developed by an small group of Hungarian who met by the means of the Hungarian Association of astronomy in 1999.
