Hétérométabole

The hétérométaboles are a category of Insecte S among Ptérygote S. It does not have there a motionless stage between the larva and the adult. The larva resembles an imago without wings.

The hétérométaboles are divided into two subcategories:

  • Paurometabolous S: the larva and the adult live in the same medium
  • the Hémimétabole S: the larva and the adult live in mediums different (often watery larva)
