Héron de Humblot
The Héron de Humblot or Héron of Madagascar ( Ardea humbloti ) is a species of héron. With Madagascar, it is common on the coasts north and west of the island (area of Toliara in particular) but also inside the grounds, in particular close to the Lake Alaotra, but is also present at the the Comoros and Mayotte.
Héron de Humblot is a species in danger, with a population estimated between 1 000 and 3 000 individuals. Its populations decline by hunting, the collecting of eggs and the destruction of its habitat by agriculture.
