Hérémence

Hérémence is common Switzerland of the Canton of Were worth, located in the District of Hérens, with the intersection of the Val of Hérens and the Val of Hérémence. It is on this commune that is located the Lac of the Ten and stopping of the Large-Dixence .

History

A long time possession of the Savoy, Hérémence was transferred to the possessions from the bishop from Sion in 1260. Dissatisfied with this agreement, the bishop cancelled it in 1268 and the valley of Hérémence remained Savoyard, contrary to the remainder of the valley of Hérens, until 1476.
