Hépar

History

The history of Hépar is very related to that of Vittel.
  • 1873, Louis Bouloumié , former politician and lawyer of formation, already owner of the source of Gérémoy to Vittel in the the Vosges (Is France) (See mineral water Vittel) the salt spring to 3 km in the east of the first source discovers, a water very rich in rock salt.

  • the March 25th 1875, governmental Authorization to exploit the source.

  • 1869, Death of Louis Bouloumié . Resumption of the source by his/her son Amboise .

  • 1882, Creation of the General society of mineral water of Vittel (SGEMV) gathering Vittel and Hépar .

  • 1913, Jean Bouloumié succeeds his father: Amboise .

  • 1920, It is renamed Hépar and is sold in square sandstone bottles.

  • In the years 1930, with the rise of hydrotherapy with Vittel, Hépar is sold out of bottle of glass to make it possible to the curists to prolong the cure in residence.

  • 1952, Death of Jean Bouloumié and succession by his/her German sister Bouloumié , his/her sister.

  • 1968, the first bottle in PVC.

  • 1969, the group Suisse Nestlé enters its capital, to a total value of 30%.

  • 1979, Guy of the Mound-Bouloumié , nephew of German , takes the succession of the source.

  • 1980 the round bottle becomes square.

  • 1990 Hépar makes speak about it. As well as Perrier, the discovery of traces of Alkane, a hydrocarbon, involves a withdrawal of a few hundreds of bottles in the Gironde, Brittany and in the Marseilles area .

  • 1995, the first bottle in FART.

  • In 2002, the bottle Hépar is renovated and modernized.

Hépar today

  • Hépar is conditioned in the same factory as water Vittel from which leave more than 2 billion bottles per annum Contrex, Vittel and Hépar.
