Hémofiltration

The hemofiltration is, like the Dialyze, a method of extra-renal purification. Its physical principle differs from that of the hemodialysis: I acts of convectif transport. The Sang is ultrafiltered and the product collected (the ultrafiltrat) is thrown with waste which it contains. A liquid of re-injection compensates for the part of the plasma withdrawn.

The hemofiltration allows plasmatic purification. Its principal indication is renal substitution.
