Hédi Bouraoui
Hédi Bouraoui , of its complete name Hédi Andre Bouraoui, born the July 16th 1932 with Sfax, is a poet, short story writer and university tuniso - Canadian. It treats topics regularly including the transcendence of the cultural borders.
After having studied the literatures French, English and American in France then with the the United States, it joined the Université York of Toronto, in 1972, where it teaches the French and English literatures while specializing in the literatures African, caribéenne, and Free-Ontarian. It also launches the center Canada the Maghreb within the university.
In May 2003, it is Honorary doctor of the Université Laurentienne (Ontario) in recognition of its contributions to the Canadian and world literature. It also receives many literary prizes in Canada, in France and Tunisia.
