Héctor Castro

Héctor Castro (known as el Manco - the penguin, or el Divino manco then) is a former player of Football Uruguyan, born the November 29th 1904 with Montevideo and dead the September 15th 1960 in the same city, having played at the post of center-forward.

He had the characteristic to have lost the right hand at the 13 years age, by handling a power saw.

Hardly three years after the stop of its career of player, he became the trainer headlight of the championship, near his “club of always” Nacional, then victorious 5 times consecutively of 1939 to 1943.
