Gympie (Queensland)
The town of Gympie is located in the south-eastern part of the state of the Queensland, in Australia, with approximately 170 kilometers in the north of the capital of the state, Brisbane. It is located on the coastal river Mary River. Gympie is the administrative center of the Comté of Cooloola, whose population rose with 33.000 inhabitants in 2001.
Originally colonized for its Pasture S, the sector became important when Or was discovered there in 1867 per James Nash. At that time, Queensland suffered from a serious economic depression, and this discovery probably saved it bankruptcy. The extraction of gold always plays a part in fortunes of the area, with agriculture (Lait ière mainly), wood and tourism.

The Valley Mary ( Mary Valley ) is a picturesque place with vast green pastures and many splendid forests.
The Valley Rattler (goods train of the valley) leaves the station of Gympie saturdays and Wednesdays. This engine with vapor stops at the many forest cities which exist in the valley and finishes its way at the picturesque city of Imbil.
