Gwenn-Aël Bolloré
Gwenn-Aël Bolloré (September 5th 1925 - July 12th 2001, Ergué-Gabéric) is a French business man. He is the brother of Michel Bolloré, Rene Bolloré and the uncle of Vincent Bolloré.
He is initially one of the combatants of the free France who unload in Normandy the June 6th 1944 during the Opération Overlord.
Biography
He decides at the 17 years age to engage in the free French Forces and for this reason sells its horse then share to join his/her Rene brother with London in a small boat of fortune with which he crosses the Manche. It dissimulates its age and its strong myopia during the aptitude tests to be enlisted in the Commandos Kieffer with which it takes part in the Débarquement of Normandy on June 6th, 1944 and which takes by storm the beach and the town of Ouistreham.
He consigned his memories of war in a book " I unloaded on June 6th, 1944 ". He also took part in an interview in the documentary film " great battles of the passé" of Daniel Costelle.
He is vice-president of the Paper mills Bolloré of 1952 with 1974.
In the Sixties, he is also director of the Editions of the Roundtable whose chairman is Roland Laudenbach. These editions publish a great number of works hostile to the policy gaullist in Algérie and favorable to OAS. Among the authors: Jacques Isorni, Jean-Louis Tixier-Vignancour, Jacques Laurent, Gabriel Bastien-Thiry, Pierre Sergent… That is worth with Mr. Bolloré to be condemned on several occasions for offenses to the Head of the State. It thus forms part of these French rejoined in Free France or the Resistance in 1940 and which was opponents with de Gaulle at the time of the Algerian business such Georges Bidault, Jacques Soustelle, the colonel Rémy, Pierre Sergent, Pierre Château-Jobert (alias " Conan")…
He is the author of work on the fishing and the Brittany.
He also published tests and poems.
