Gwangmyeong
Gwangmyeong (광명) is a town of South Korea, in southern suburbs of Seoul, in the province of Gyeonggi. It counts 340.000 inhabitants. It is twinned in Austin, Texas, the USA, Osnabruck, Germany, and Liacheong, Shandong, China.
It is served by line 7 of the subway of Seoul. The large one and beautiful station of Gwangmyeong Station, only served by KTX (Korean TGV) was established in a still agricultural and badly served zone. One can see a political will of development there, with the variation of the too densified zones of the agglomeration of Seoul.
The great man of the city Ori Lee Won-Ik (1547~1634) was a well-read man and a politician of the Jeoson period. Several monuments are dedicated to him, in particular at 1084 and 1086 Soha 2-dong.
