Guy Lazorthes
Guy Lazorthes , born the July 4th 1910, is a doctor and university French.
Neurosurgeon, Guy Lazorthes was professor at the medical college of Toulouse, of which he was the senior. Professor emeritus with the University Paul Sabatier (Toulouse), he is member of the Académie of medicine since 1960 and of the Academy of Science since 1975. He is member of the scientific advice of the interdisciplinary Université of Paris. He is an enthusiastic defender of European construction.
He is at the origin of the creation of the Hôpital Rangueil and the Medical college Toulouse-Rangueil. He tried to individualize this one, as well as faculties of odontology and pharmacy, having in project a university Toulouse IV distinct from the Université Paul Sabatier (Toulouse III), without reaching that point however.
It is notable that it still taught at a rate of three courses per week until 2004.
