Guy Forget , born the January 4th 1965 with Casablanca (Morocco) is a Tennis man French.
Champion of France junior in 1982, Guy Forget is left-handed and measures 1,90 Mr.
Career
Its first victory takes place in 1986 with the tournament of Toulouse where his/her grandfather asserted himself in 1946 and his/her father in 1966. It also gains with Nancy in 1989 and becomes world champion in double with the Suisse Jakob Hlasek in 1990.It carries out its best season in 1991: it reaches the 4th world rank thanks to 6 victories in tournament (Sydney, Brussels, Cincinnati, Bordeaux, Toulouse and of the Open of Paris-Bercy. No French player gained as many tournaments over one year. This year, it also dominates 3 times Pete Sampras, each time in special occasionss (final of Cincinatti and Bercy and finale of the Coupe Davis). With Wimbledon it reaches the quarterfinals (beaten by German Boris Becker). It will never exceed this stage of the competition in the tournaments of the Grand Slam.
Guy Forget puts an end to his career of player in 1997 after 11 gained tournaments into simple and 28 in double. He lives today with Mies.
Three Davis championship victories
Selected in team of France for the first time in 1984 in Czechoslovakia, Forget becomes titular into simple, only after the withdrawal of Yannick Noah in 1990.
