Gustav Fechner
Gustav Theodor Fechner is a Philosophe and German Psychologue , born with Large-Sarchen, Lusace in 1801 and died with Leipzig in 1887.
He is the instigator of the Psychophysique, a science aiming at measuring phenomena of psychological order . He formulated the Loi of Weber-Fechner according to which the perceived feeling varies proportionally with the logarithm of the intensity of excitation. The metric unit in which the feeling would be measured is for him the relative differential threshold (report/ratio of Bouguer-Weber), which is the smallest difference in remarkable intensity (in English jnd , for just noticable difference ).
