Augustus Cassius “Gus” Caesar (born the March 5th 1966) is old a Football or English.

Arsenal

Born with Tottenham, Caesar joined Arsenal in August 1982. It becomes professional in February 1984. At the beginning of its career, it is wounded seriously with the Cheville, it can however show its talents initially in the team of the young people as a defender. The December 21st 1985, it makes its beginnings with the team first with Old Trafford against Manchester United, a match gained 1-0 by the visitors.

The following months Casear continuous to evolve/move in the team first but remain substitute. He often plays the last minutes of the meetings what is worth the nickname of " to him; the man of the five last minutes". However it shines enough to be called at the English hopes in 1987.

At the time of the season 1987 - 88, Viv Anderson is wounded what makes it possible Gus Caesar to increase its time of play. This season he plays 25 matches.

Its worse match remains the final of the League Cup 1988 against Luton Town with Wembley. To 10 minutes of the fine Arsenal 2-1 led, and at 7 minutes of the end, Casear missed a release in its own penalty area what made it possible Luton to return to the score before marking a third goal at the last minute of the meeting.

After this match the stay of Gus Caesar in Arsenal took naturally fine. George Graham left it one good moment on the safe bench for five small matches in two seasons. There became unpopular with the eyes of the fans and remains still today a bad memory for those.

End of a career

Gus Caesar will have played 50 matches for Arsenal in five years with the club. It left the club in 1991 after a loan with Queens Park Rangers. He played for many clubs before stopping with Colchester United where he found the form and gained the confidence of the fans of the club.

Caesar finishes its career with HongKong. Since its retirement in 2001, it played of many “Masters Football” in East Asia with other reprocessed footballers.
