Guiyou

The guiyou , or kouei-yin (Chinese traditional and simplified: zh-Hant 癸酉; Pinyin: guǐyǒu ) is the tenth element of the sexagesimal Cycle Chinese. It is preceded by the Renshen and is followed by the Jiaxu .

With the celestial Tige GUI is associated the Yin and the element Eau, and with the terrestrial Branche you , the Yin, the element Métal, and the sign of the cock. In the symbolic system of the five elements, the guiyou thus corresponds to the “metal which gives rise to water. ”
