Guillaume Olden-Barnevelt
Johan van Oldenbarnevelt left two wire Rene and Guillaume van Oldenbarnevelt . The second had concluded the project to assassinate Maurice de Nassau to avenge his/her father, and had communicated his intention with Rene who, without approving it, had however not wanted to denounce it. The plot having been discovered, Guillaume escaped by the escape; Rene was taken, and, though innocent, it was put at died (1623).
