Biography
Died of his/her father in 1393, alone his/her older brother Balthazar de Mecklembourg-Werle-Güstrow ensured regency for the principality of Werle-Güstrow. In 1418, Guillaume de Mecklembourg-Werle-Güstrow became also regent for the principality of Werle-Güstrow. After the death of Balthazar de Mecklembourg-Werle-Güstrow the April 5th 1421, Guillaume only reigned.
In 1425 died prince Christophe de Mecklembourg-Werle-Waren, Guillaume inherited the principality of Werle-Waren. A few years earlier, his/her father had inherited the principality of Werle-Goldberg. Under the reign of Guillaume de Mecklembourg-Werle-Güstrow were joined together last once different the principality from Werle.
Guillaume de Mecklembourg-Werle-Güstrow died without male heirs, the line of Mecklembourg-Werle died out in 1436. The principalities of Werle-Güstrow were distributed between the various heirs to the House of Mecklembourg. In 1436, Henri IV of Mecklembourg inherited the principality of Werle-Wenden.
