Guillaume de Lorris

Guillaume de Lorris or Guillaume de Loris (born with Lorris towards 1200 and died towards 1238) is a French poet of the Moyen-âge.

Protected from the count de Poitiers, he is the author of the Romance of the Rose , which he leaves unfinished and which Jean de Meung finished forty years later.
