Guillaume de Conchamp

Guillaume de Conchamp is the Abbé founder of the Abbaye of Fontdouce to Saint-Breaking-of-Wood as from 1111. Lord of the house of Taillebourg, it withdrew world and joined in a place of loneliness, close to Fontdouce, a Ermite with which he founded a first monastery.

Association Guillaume-of-Conchamp

An association Guillaume-of-Conchamp was created in 1995 by a group of impassioned anxious to develop and perennialize the tourist activity and cultural of the abbey of Fontdouce. It animates the site by some specific demonstrations, of which the Festival Tales and concerts, and promotion ensures some. Recognized “work of general interest” by the tax authorities in 2003, it counts today more than one hundred forty members.
