Guillaume d\' Harcigny
Guillaume de Harcigny born with Vervins towards 1310 and dead the July 10th 1393 is a French doctor.
He was the doctor of Charles VI of France. He made his studies of medicine at the University. Its diploma obtained, it leaves for the Italy and in the Orient where science is already with the state of experiment. Its voyages brought it in Syria, Palestine and Egypt. At the time of his voyages, Guillaume de Harcigny learned much on medicine from his time. Of return in France, it settles in the town of Laon where resident much of its fellow-members. He became the friend of Enguerrand VII of Coucy which presented it to the king after the first Crise of insanity of Charles VI in the forest of Mans, the August 5th 1392.
Its lying “stiff” showing the body with late in the course of decomposition is in the museum with Laon and was recently restored.
