Guillaume Raymond Viviès Lover
Born the November 3rd 1763 with Holy-Dove-on-the Hers (Aude), Guillaume Raymond Amant Viviès is the typical example of these volunteer French officers and grabbed by the swirl of the history. The audacity and the honesty of the latter will be the assets essential to military successes of Napoleon i. Qualified d'" forgotten histoire" by Jean Tulard in his " Napoléon" dictionary; , Viviès takes part in the majority of the campaigns of the Empire. Being distinguished with Austerlitz where it obtains its stars, it was one of the heroes of the tragedy of Eylau. Covering the retirement of the remains of the Large army, after the Bérézina, he dies of fever and in end of force, in Wilna (current Vilnius) on January 12th, 1813, after being captured by the Russians. During nearly 20 years, it will have served the republican ideals and the Empire until the supreme sacrifice.
