Guillaume Ier or William ( Uilleam Garbh ) known as the Lion, king d' Écosse of 1165 with 1214.
Wire junior by the count Henri de Northumberland and by Ada de Warenne it is born about 1143. He is briefly titular count of Northumberland between 1153 and 1157. He becomes king with dead of his older brother Malcolm IV the December 9th 1165 and is crowned with the abbey of Scone the next on December 24th.
In 1173, it joined the revolt of the wire of Henri II of England but is captured and sent as captive to Falaise in Normandy where it must recognize as suzerain the English king and to promise homage to him on December 8th, 1174 (Traité Cliff).
In 1175, the county of Huntingdon is confiscated to him for its participation in the rebellion of wire of Henri II.

Its reign is one longest of the history of Scotland. He dies in 71 years the December 4th 1214 with Stirling and is buried with the abbey of Arbroath.
