Guillaume Ier of Saxony-Weimar

Guillaume Ier of Saxony-Weimar known as " Gros" , born the April 11th 1598 with Altenburg and deceased the May 17th 1662 in Weimar.

He was duke of Saxony-Weimar of 1626 to the May 17th 1662. He belonged to the branch Ernestine pertaining to the first branch of the Maison of Wettin. He also belonged to the line of the Saxony-Weimar.

Wire of Jean II of Saxony-Weimar and Dorothée d' Anhalt-Zerbst.

He married in 1625 Éléonore d' Anhalt (dead in 1664) (House of Anhalt).

  • Adolphe of Saxony-Weimar (1632 - 1668), duke of Saxony-Eisenach, in 1663 it married Elisabeth of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel (dead in 1687) (posterity)

  • Wilhelmine of Saxony-Weimar (1636 - 1653)

  • Bernard of Saxony-Weimar (1638 - 1678), duke of Saxony-Iena, in 1662 it married Charlotte of Trémoille (dead in 1682), (girl of Henri of Trémoille), (House of Trémoïlle), (posterity)

  • Dorothée of Saxony-Weimar (1641 - 1675), in 1656 it married Maurice of Saxony-Zeitz.
