Guillaume-Marie-Romain Sourrieu

Guillaume Marie Romain Sourrieu (born the February 27th 1825 with Aspet - died the June 16th 1899 with Rouen) was man of the church, bishop, then French archbishop and cardinal.

Biography

Guillaume-Marie-Romain Sourrieu was ordered priest in 1847 with Toulouse. After various missions in the diocese of Toulouse, he was chaplain of the sanctuary of Rocamadour. It was ordered bishop of Châlons in 1882, then archbishop of Rouen in 1894.

In 1897, it was created cardinal by Leon XIII.
