Guido Bentivoglio

Guido Bentivoglio (October 4th 1579 with Ferrare - September 7th 1644 with Rome) is a cardinal, historian and politician Italy N.
He enjoys the favor of the popes Clément VIII, Paul V and Urbain VIII, was sent like Nonce in Flanders (1607) and in France (1617). It rained so much with Louis XIII that this prince chooses it to defend the interests of France with Rome. He died at the time when he was going to be named Pape.

- a History of the war of Flanders , in Italian, Cologne, 1632 - 1639, translated by the Abbot Loiseau, 1769
- a Collection of letters , Cologne, 1631, translated by Giosafatte Biagioli, Paris, 1807
- of the Memories on its life , published in 1648, and translated into French by Jean de Vayrac, 1713.
Its works were joined together with Milan, 1806 - 1807, 5 volumes in-8.
