Guerilla Iraqi
The Iraqi guerilla indicates in the media the fighting whole of the groups, at one moment or another, against the international coalition directed by the the United States and the forces of the Iraqi government during the Guerre to Iraq after the operation Opération release of Iraq into 2003 which saw the fall of the government of the Parti Baath.
This term or not designates at the same time the independent combatants between them, Nationaliste S (Baassiste S), Communiste S, Islamiste S international (Al qaida), islamist Sunnite S Iraqi, islamist Chiite S, like some Kurdish elements and Turcomans the purely criminal, but also groups practitioner the taking of hostage in order to touch a ransom.
The political situation of Iraq being chaotic, the position of certain combatants, like the islamist Shiites of Moqtada al-Sadr (Armed with the medhi), is ambiguous: if they face the American army with Falloujah, to support the sunnites, they face on several occasions into 2005 the islamist international ones of Abou Moussab Zarqaoui. The Islamic army in Iraq is one of the branches of resistance among most known.
Certain groups employ the Terrorisme against civilians and others practice taken hostages while other groups attack only soldiers. In addition certain groups also have criminal activities and gangsters.
In January 2006 is created the Advisory counsel of Moudjahidines in Iraq which gathers some one of these movements.
Supports abroad
In Occident, Didier Julia or the Réseau Voltaire employ the term of “Iraqi resistance”. The Voltaire Network also uses the name of “government of collaboration” to speak about the Iraqi government.
“Resistance” has the support of various groups in the world, Islamiste S, of Extreme left (Camp Anti Impérialiste), of Extrême right-hand side and National-Bolchevism (PCN - CPC Parti Community national-European) and nationalist Arabic.
