Guanine
see also: Etymology of Guanine
The guanine is a nitrogenized Base, and more exactly a bases purine (see also DNA and ARN). One finds it in the form of Nucléotide: in the DNA it is the dGMP for désoxyguanosine monophosphate , and in the ARN the GMP for guanosine monophosphate . Guanine is paired with the Cytosine in the DNA as in the ARN.
Dimerous
Under the action of the rays UV, the bases pyrimidins like the Cytosine and the Thymine can rather form connections with the adjacent bases than with theirs opposite complementary. Such an action causes to create what one calls a dimer which has like consequence to harm the good maintenance of DNA in particular at the time of its replication and its transcription, the Protéines thus produced undergo a change of the " type; false-sens".
