History
The commune of Guérard would draw its sources from the Middle Ages.
Indeed the commune is built around a ford, therefore the only place around where one could cross the river (the Largeone). The legend tells that famous a " gardien" of this ford (charged to take the right-of-way) was called " Evrard" , which by deformation gave the name of the current commune. It should be noted that at the time they were only some stuck houses the one-with-others, it is only well after the commune (slightly) developed.
To date Guérard counts a little more 2 000 inhabitants and not of least.
It is emblerait that the inhabitant of the Mount-Hérand would have largely to take part in the victory of the battle of Waterloo.
Economy
