Grouping of the editors of online services
The Geste is a association gathering 104 members at May 14th, 2006, in particular the greatest groups of press French. It has the aim of creating the economic conditions, legislative and competing essential to the development of the services and electronic editions.
Since 2004, the Gesture decrees the price Michel Colonna of Istria, of the name of this journalist (1958-2002) precursory of the electronic press, which was vice-president of the Gesture. This price rewards “a leading project on electronic medium”, “respecting the values that it (Michel Colonna of Istria) defended during all its life”, “freedom to inform, leading independence, the social solidarity, the defense of the French language”.
