The group the SNCF consisted the public corporation the SNCF and its subsidiary companies, whose majority are controlled by the company holding SNCF-Participations, is one of the very first groups of Transport and Logistique in Europe.

SNCF-participations gathers 657 subsidiary companies and employs 58.000 worker. The consolidated turnover of the SNCF-Participations group rises, in 2003, to 6,86 billion euros for a bottom line of 16 million euros.

    • AREP (99,99%): design and technical exploitation of the buildings, in particular of stations.
    • the SNCF International (100%): use of railway competences for assistance to control of work, the exploitation and maintenance throughout the world.
    • Inexia
    • Systra (35,87%): engineering of public transport, urban and railway.
  • SHEM (60%) sold in 2005

  • Historiquement, group the SNCF was also an telecommunications operator with Télécom Développement (which used the railway network) that the SNCF held completely. After fusion with Cegetel, the SNCF had been found with 35% of the new unit. The group resold its share with SFR in 2005 in order to organize fusion Neuf Cegetel.
