Group schools of telecommunications
The Group of the schools of the Telecommunication S or GET , created in December 1996, is a public corporation related to administration ensuring the management of several establishments of higher education and research French in the sector of information the Technologies and the communication. The GET is composed of a service of general administration and three schools:
- the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of telecommunications (also known under the name of Paris Telecom)
- the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of telecommunications of Brittany
- the National institute of telecommunications (including/understanding a school of engineers and a school of management).
The GET has participations in two subsidiary companies with other partners:
- TELECOM Lille 1 (ex-ENIC, with the University of sciences and technologies of Lille - USTL)
- Eurécom (between the ENST and the federal Polytechnic school of Lausanne).
Since January 1st 2007, Pascal Faure is president of the Board of directors of the GET.
History
The IAAI (Institute of the Advanced Applications of the Internet), initially under supervision of the ENST Brittany and the universities of area PACA, was taken again by the ESIL in 2004, in the form of a department.
