Group of intervention of second generation
The Gendarmerie with set up the Group of intervention of second generation (PI2G), a structure constituting an intermediate force enters the Peloton of Intervention of Anti-riot police and GIGN. It must be operational and able to intervene within very short times. The PI2G can either only intervene on serious events, or to assist the GIGN. The first PI2G at summer creates with Toulouse, other units of this type are succeptibles to be born soon.
