Group integrated plays
The group of integrated plays (Integreted play groups model) is a model worked out by Wolfberg (1999-2003) based on the designs constructivists and sociocultural of the Apprentissage and the Développement that Vygotski worked out compared to the activities of social Jeu. The concept of the program was developed besides in answer the special needs of the autistic young people to take part fully in the culture of set of their pars. The group of Jeu X integrated takes seat in natural environment in which the Enfant can usually play and addresses itself to young ages between 3 and 11 years. The group consists of 3 to 5 participants, but the ratio of children without difficulties must be higher. This structure can be established during or after the school, in the centers of readjustment and even at the house. The organization of the space of plays is also important. It must be sufficiently large to leave room to approximately 5 children and its borders must be well defined. The selected material must include a vast choice of Jouet S, selected according to the age of the participants and with an aim of supporting different type of plays, more particularly the constructive play and symbolic system, which offer the occasion to interact and use of its imagination. These toys must moreover beings organized in the adventure playground according to their topics in small sectors.
The choice of the participants who will accompany the autistic children must be done according to the degree of familiarity. It is preferable that they are children who attend the young autists regularly, such as classmates to support future friendly relations . To return the environment making safe and far-sighted, a schedule, routines and the ritual ones of beginning and end of sessions will be agreed before the establishment of the program. The participants without difficulty will act as expert players and will be trained to allow the players beginners (autistic children) to better include/understand the play and to take part fully in this last. These expert players will have inter alia, to answer initiations of play of the autistic comrades, to draw their attention by various social signs, such as typing the shoulder, and thus establishing a common attention towards a play activity.
