Group Polytechnic Concours

35 schools of the polytechnic contests group - also called ENSI- is public schools (except CPE Lyon) and delivers a diploma for the occupation of engineer recognized by the commission of the title of the engineer.

History

The creation of the ENSI dates from the shortly after the second world war. In 1947, a decree obliges the institutes created to leave the end the XIXe century within the universities to train engineers, to transform itself into 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of engineers. The duration of the formation in these schools then was fixed at 3 years, sanctioned by a title of qualified engineer, and recruitment was organized by the means of a common contest.

In 1954, after reorganization, name changes and of statutes of many academic institutes of training of engineers, one counts 16 ENSI:
