Group Indépendance/Démocratie
The group Independence/Démocratie ( IND/DEM ) was created with the the European Parliament the July 20th 2004 to join together parties europhobes, Eurosceptics or eurorealists. It was known before under the name of group '' Europe of the Democracies and of Diversities '' (EDD) and it currently lays out of 23 appointed .

Political platform
The Ind/Dem group subscribes to the following program:1. Rejection of the European Constitution. Convinced that the democracy rests on the legitimacy of the States nations and their Parliament insofar as there does not exist single European people. The Ind/Dem group is opposed to any European Constitution which would cause to accentuate the centralizing and nondemocratic structure of the European Union. The Ind/Dem group requires that the constitution project be submitted to the citizens within the framework of free and democratic referendums in the Member States.
2. Not with a Super European State . The Ind/Dem group is favorable to an opened, transparent, democratic co-operation and person in charge between the sovereign European States but it firmly rejects the creation of only one European super-State.
3. Respect of the traditional and cultural values. The people and the nations have the right to define and protect their own traditional, ethical and cultural values. The group Ind/Dem Group rejects xenophobia, the anti-semitism and any form of discrimination.
4. Democracy, freedom and co-operation between the Sovereign states. The Ind/Dem group, which subscribes to the principles of democracy, of freedom and co-operation between the States nations is hostile with the centralization and the bureaucratization of Europe.
5. Respect of the differences and the national interests: freedom of vote. The Ind/Dem group, in accordance with its principles, respects in practice the freedom of vote of its delegations.
