Ground of the Princess-Elisabeth

The Ground Princess-Elizabeth is the area of the the Antarctic located between the Latitude S 64°56' S and 90°00' S, and the Longitude S 73°35' E and 87°43' E. Discovered on February 9th, 1931, by an Australian and New Zealand forwarding, it bears the name of the Elizabeth II queen, then princess. The territory is divided into two sectors:

  • the Coast of Ingrid-Christensen, 73°35' E with 81°24' E;

  • the Ground Leopold-and-Astrid, 81°24' E with 87°43' E.

She is limited by the Barrière of Amery, the Ground of Mac-Robertson and the Ground of Wilhelm II.
