Groquik is the old mascot of the chocolates of breakfast Nesquik of the group Nestlé.
History
Appeared in
1978, it is a large animal of unspecified, débonnaire and affectionate. It was drawn by Gilbert Mas, and a giant puppet was carried out for the commercials since 1978 by
Yves Brunier.
Groquik was also the Greek mascot of Nesquik and it was called Quikaras (Κουικάρας) in Greek.
The ousting
In 1990, Groquik, under pretext of departure in
Holidays, was replaced by a character judged more in phase with the time (i.e. thinner). It is about a Lapin named
Quicky. In spite of the protests of the admirors of Groquik, this one never returned.
Music
In spite of this replacement, the firm will keep same the jingle sound during the appearances of rabbit but in a more modern rate/rhythm.
