Groovy Aardvark

Groovy Aardvark is a punk group/alternative rock'n'roll Québécois, from now on dissociated, founded in 1986 with Longueuil

History of the group

With the whole beginning called Schizophrenic Muff Various , the group changed its name for Groovy Aardvark in 1987 and this, until its separation in 2005. They were nominated four times at the official reception of the ADISQ and four times at the official reception of the MIMI' S ( Montreal Independant Music Industry ). The known group a great success with the album Vaccuum which contained in particular the hit radio Disturbing , the resumption of small happiness by Felix Leclerc like Boisson of April with Yves Lambert and Michel Bordeleau of Bottine Souriante.

Oryctérope , launched in 1998, is a French-speaking album (except a song), which is a first for Groovy and the fans of Quebec appreciate it much.

The group made a finale on August 6th, 2005, at the time of the Francofolies of Montreal, but with all the same continued to give some spectacles after this important date. Since, Vincent Peake plays in the groups Floating Widget, Sabbath Café, Karmadoza, Galaxie 500 and GrimSkunk in addition to being itself launched in the production of albums of Québécois rock groups alternate. Martin Dupuis plays in Lumberjack. François Legendre plays in Lumberjack and Karmadoza.
