Groove maroon
Also called wood of cinnamon , the grooves maroon ( Ocotea obtusata ) is a Arbre of the family of the Lauracées, endemic of the Mascareignes, present at the Mauritius, like the Meeting, where it is rather common.
It is a species of the wet forests which supports a broad gradient altitudinal (of 300 with: 2000 meters) and thus thermics. In forest mégatherme, the tree can reach fifteen meters whereas in forest mésotherme it is rather a shrub from three to ten meters
Its Fruit S resembles small nipples.
